The rules in Düsseldorf

The City of Düsseldorf’s street cleaning bylaw requires frontagers to clear pavements on working days from 7 am to 8 pm and on Sundays and public holidays from 9 am to 8 pm, and to grit when icy, over a width of at least one metre. Road salt is generally not allowed on pavements; chippings, sand or granules are used instead.

Neighbouring towns have their own bylaws with partly different times and areas. During the site visit we clarify which rules apply to your property and which areas we take over.

  4. Records: every call-out is recorded with date, time and weather. On request you receive the overview for your files.

    When do pavements have to be cleared in Düsseldorf?
